It is my pleasure to introduce Cape Sedation Services cc to you, one of the first and oldest sedation companies in Cape Town.
Sedation is one of the fastest growing fields in Medicine. Driven by many factors like financial, trends, patient comfort, lower nosocomial infections and important – patient preference. I am providing a mobile specialized service in procedural sedation and pain control (PSA) throughout the Cape Peninsula and beyond.
PSA provides a safe and relaxed environment for patients, resulting in the effective control of pain, anxiety and movement in adults and children undergoing procedures in the doctors of dentist’s rooms. Decreased awareness and amnesia are added advantages.
I received my sedation training under the mentorship of word renowned Professor James Roelofse and adhere to his teaching and sedation guidelines available from the South African Society of Anaesthesiologists.
I am involved as a lecturer in the training of students following the post graduate diploma in PSA and is also a member of the committee of SOSPOSA (Society of Sedation Practitioners of South Africa) a special interest group of SASA (South African Society of Anaesthesiologists)
Cape Sedation Services provide an anaesthetic and sedation service with a special interest in procedural sedation and pain control outside the operation room for medical and dental sedations.

Please could you also tell him that James was so funny when he got home yesterday, he was totally perplexed about where the magic butterfly had gone. He kept on asking “where is that doctor with the magic butterfly?”
In the space of 2 hours he had eaten macaroni chees, a chocolate mousse, a banana, popcorn and dried fruit – I told Dr Loots that nothing stops my kid from eating.
